New Album Project

February 23, 2019

Very excited to be recording a new album this winter! I started working on it in early January, and we're now closing in on the finish line. I'm really happy with this batch of songs, and love the way the recordings are sounding. I can't wait to share this new music with you!

As with past projects, I'm currently running a crowdfunding campaign in order to bring this new music to life. I hope you'll consider checking out the project and getting involved. To learn more, please follow this link:

Hope you'll decide to join us. If you have any questions, please drop me a line.

Many Thanks,

Todd

R.I.P. Chris Burroughs

November 19, 2018

Devastated to have lost my dear friend, Chris Burroughs, on Monday. We were bandmates in Hardpan, but our friendship went well beyond the music. I don’t have the words right now to properly do honor to who he was as a person, or to his talent as a musician and songwriter. But I will say that his friendship meant a great deal to me, and I know that my life was made much richer through knowing him.  I will miss him deeply. My heart breaks for his wife Kelly, and son Henry. I can’t imagine what these next days will be like for them. Even if you don’t know them personally, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.  Today as we celebrate our Thanksgiving holiday, I’ll be thankful for the time I had with Chris, and for the music we created together. And I’ll be thankful for all those I care about who are still in my life. Life can change in an instant, we need to hold onto each other while we’re able.  Wishing all of you peace and happiness. R.I.P. Chris Burroughs. Love you brother.

August News

The big news is that I'm currently finalizing plans to head into the studio in early November with my band in order to begin work on a new album! The guys and I are all very excited about it. I'm also really looking forward to working with Ed Valauskas once again in the role of producer (Waterfall), and being back at Q Division Studios, one of my all time favorite places to record. I'll be organizing a Pledge Music Campaign over the next couple of months in order to invite all of you into the process with us, so keep your eye out for that. In the meantime, I'm finishing up a few of the songs, and recording simple demos in my own studio to distribute to the band, and to Ed. Rehearsals will begin very soon. Really looking forward to digging into these new songs with the boys!

In other news, I have a very special house concert coming up in September, locally here in Belmont, MA. Only 32 total seats. Tickets are on sale now. More details on my "Events" page, but here's the ticket link:

Stay Tuned!

What's happening now...

Currently I'm in deep "writing mode". I have a few projects coming up that I'm writing for. First off, it's time for me to make a new album.  Actually, two albums... Over the course of this year I'll be working here in my own studio, on a "stripped down" solo acoustic record. This is something I've been wanting to do for quite awhile, and now feels like the right time to make it happen.  Plans are also in the works for a new "Band" record to be completed by early 2019. And coming down the pike, we'll be back in the studio for a follow-up Water and Sand recording (collaboration with Kim Taylor). Kim and I have been trading songs back and forth between Boston and Cincinnati, and we're very excited about where things are headed.

I'll be keeping you updated in more detail on all of these projects as things progress.

Thanks for checking in!
